Uncle Block's Torch of Freedom
I have decided to do something different .... I am going to include the following Youtube video on all of my pages even though it takes up a lot of space at the top of the page. This man, Pat Condell, is, in my opinion, someone who needs to be heard. Watch the video. If you think what he is saying makes sense make sure you watch all of his videos on YouTube. As far as I am concerned this man is a breath of fresh air in a world of political and superstitious bullshit that seems to be flooding our world more than ever these days.

Hamilton's Heroesfor trying do do something in the face of the severe losses foisted upon them by government run transportation services as manifest by the current bus driver's strike. Saeid Targhifor his bold defiance of the nefarious anti-smoking bylaw. Mr. Targhi is the owner of the Roxxy Restaurant and Niteclub at Eastgate Square. Note: HE is the owner, NOT Marvin Caplan and his cronies.... yet Caplan has the insulting arrogance to believe he has the authority to dictate the manner in which Mr. Targhi should operate his business. Perhaps Mr. Caplan has chosen, or will chose, to offer some form of compensation, out of his own pocket, for the losses and misery imposed upon Mr. Targhi. This would be the least he could do. I doubt he will though. It's all too easy to be a do-gooder when someone else has to pick up the tab. According to Andrew Dreschel's column in the Spectator (Jan11, 1999) Mr Targhi came to Canada 16 years ago, from Iran, because he had no personal freedom there. Surprise! There's precious little freedom here too. Mr. Targhi believes, as do I, that if you don't like smoke, you shouldn't go to his place. Sadly, I fear Mr. Targhi can not win this battle. They have the guns Mr Targhi. If push comes to shove they will use them. I have a suggestion for you Mr. Targhi. Perhaps you may want to consider asking your smoking patrons to pay a small fee for lighting up. This fee would be applied to paying for the fines imposed by the busy-bodies. In a free country, no one should have to pay extra for any peaceful activity. In Canada, unfortunately, freedom accrues only to those who control the guns.... or have the money to pay for it.
