Ms. ParrishNovember 21, 2004Letters Editor Dear Madame/Sir: Let's see; Ms. Parrish peed off the Liberals and the Conservative press (the SUN). Seems she's on the right track to me! Especially when you take into account what Mister Eric Margolis says about Rice and the war hawks who have hijacked the American Government and railroaded the American people in this unjust and unnecessary 'war' in Iraq. And don't give me this song and dance that the world is better off without Saddam! The same can be said for getting rid of any and all politicians in any country. But then they make it illegal to preach revolution, don't they! Democracy is an illusion perpetrated by the same old elite who have the people brainwashed that their votes actually mean something. "Meet the new boss - same as the old boss." Those words by the WHO from "Wont Get Fooled Again" say it all. The 'right to vote' is a pacifier for the masses to suck on so they don't see the truth. The latest U.S. election is evidence of that when both party representatives belong to the same group of secret society, world bankers/war mongers and corporate fascists. There has been constant propaganda that the media is biased to the left. This is a pile of dung! There is no 'left' except in local university papers - perhaps! When was the last time you saw a real Socialist or Communist on the main media or on American TV? Never mind that! Why are people like Noam Chomsky so blatantly neglected by these alleged leftist papers? Even the "Daily Show" ignores him. The so called 'left wing press' is a Conservative fascist smoke screen. They keep repeating that so that 'sheeple' will believe it - which too many do. Not even PBS expresses the extreme leftist views - but the right wing, corporate world bankers, are very well represented. Show me any Government that actually is of the people - the working classes! None! They are all lawyers or of that ilk: the elite. When lawyers make up the largest part of Government, and of course Judges and the law makers, who do you think benefits? The lawyers/Law Society - that's who. That's why the marijuana laws haven't changed an iota. The lawyers are making too much money! From the legislators and prosecutors to the Judges to the Legal Aid paid defense lawyers to the perpetual Government funded commissions: they are all sucking like vampire bats on the people. And don't forget about increased Police and loss of Individual Rights. You want changes? Make it illegal for lawyers to run for public office or better yet, put a salary cap on politicians that reflect a 'working man's' wages - say $30,000 a year and no pensions: no travelling allowances etc. Then see how many lawyers go into politics! Then we would have a government of the people, by the people and for the people and not the corrupt liars and cheats so well trained in the art of legalized, public theft and extortion (income tax). However; I will give you credit, at least you do include Mister Margolis' column. I'm astounded by how many people attack his always accurate assessments. This is a man of integrity and knowledge. Would that others who call themselves 'journalists' had the guts to express the truth as he does. However; I doubt that Mister Margolis would consider himself a 'lefty' any more than I consider myself one. I am no schlep for any group and only the 'Individual' and the rights pertaining to the 'Individual' are of interest to me. Democracy is the oppression of the minority by the majority. I have never ever voted (I'm 56 years old and proud of that fact!) but if I were to vote, I'd vote for Ms. Parrish. A politician who makes their views so transparent is a far better alternative to the all too obvious liars, who say one thing and do another; who steal from Peter to pay Paul - after taking a nice chunk for themselves - and who speak out of the sides of their mouths (does that make Chretien the most honest politician?) "Power To The People!" and remember what Shakespeare said about lawyers! Sincerly, Evangelos XRISTOS Hamilton, CANADA last modified:Monday,June 9, 2008 at 04:21
