I have decided to do something different .... I am going to include the following Youtube video on all of my pages even though it takes up a lot of space at the top of the page. This man, Pat Condell, is, in my opinion, someone who needs to be heard.

As far as I am concerned this man is a breath of fresh air in a world of political and superstitious bullshit that seems to be flooding our world more than ever these days.

Nazis Were Christians

Dear Sir/Madam:
I recently watched a segment on the Christian channel and the topic was how the Evolution Theory has changed the World. During the broadcast, there were several references to Hitler and that he favoured Evolution Theory and that this was the reason he exterminated so many Jews.
This may be true but he was also a Christian. Disregarding Hitler himself, the German people were by and large all Christian Lutherans, Presbyterians and other various Christian tribal factions. The Germans had the great Religious works of Bach and the Humanistic works of Beethoven. Yet even with that great tradition, these same people - Christian people - allowed themselves to commit some of the worst Human atrocities.
The Vatican, as is well known kept silent during the Jewish extermination. Over and over again the term Nazis is used and the fact that most of the Nazis were 'good little Christians' doing the work of their chosen lord is never mentioned. The good people of Poland, Catholics, saw nothing wrong with exterminating the 'Jewish blasphemers' - as did the Ukrainian Christians. Even British Christians in the German occupied channel Islands provided the Christian Nazis with a list of all the Jews in their area.
Getting back to Hitler: his main foes were the atheistic, Jewish (if there is such a thing!) inspired Communists in Russia. (Can one be a Jew and an atheist? Personally, I think not any more than one can be an atheistic Christian. To be Jewish is to believe in the Torah.) Anyway, it was Hitler trying to protect Christianity from these 'Jewish' factions. It is also a fact that Jews have been abused; denied Human Rights; murdered since the Christians took the reigns from the Roman Empire. It is also a fact that Christians have led pogroms against pagans all over the World: the Conquistadors; the missionaries that forbade the indigenous societies from following their own religious customs; the Inquisition; the witch trials; the dark Ages were caused by Christian bigotry and hatred of 'free thought' by the Christian clergy.
I can go on and on with the atrocities committed by Christians over the last 2 thousand years; the Crusades against Islam in the so called 'Holy lands', wherein; the Crusaders taught the Muslims intolerance. These are FACTS! Easily variable, even in the records kept by the early Catholic clerics in their many councils; one of the earliest deciding that it was all right to lie for your cause, which the Bishops did profusely and still do. There are Catholic clerics who still believe that people can become possessed by Satan! This is about as rational as claiming that the World is flat but there are people who still believe this too. There are 2 kinds of Catholic clerics; those who truly believe in the spiritual (irrational) world. And those that know it's all a lie.
The various Christian factions have been responsible for nearly every war in the World, including both 'great wars'. Christians like to paint the Romans as murderous but their atrocities by far exceed anything the Roman Pagan Empire ever did. This is not opinion; it's History! This is the context that in which Religion should be taught in the schools. So when Christians demand that 'Creation Science' (a ridiculous contradiction in terms! There is NO Science in Creationism.) be taught along with Evolution, this is how Christianity should be taught and not as the 'saviour of Man' as Christians like to delude themselves into believing. Muslims do the same thing before blowing themselves up as Human bombs in the name of their God.
I am all for The History of Man's Religions" to be taught in this context in all schools. When people realize that their insane and irrational Religious beliefs are the cause for most of the agony one man has caused another; only then will the Human species be able to become a 'civilized' entity.
As long as Religions teach that there is somewhere better than the Earth; a hereafter that entails devaluing Life and putting Death above Life: there will always be a disrespect for Life. This will always make it easy to murder those who do not agree. This is so self - evident, that only a deaf, dumb, blind and ignorant fool could not realize it. These irrational, life hating, masses are called Religious!
Religions are agents of Death: Science and Evolution are the agents of Brotherhood and the only possibility for the unification of the whole Human species. Science and DNA proves the common bonds between all Humans. As long as Religions exist, there will always be hatred between the various religious factions. Look no farther than Africa; or the Middle East; or Ireland. They all think - have 'faith', that their particular interpretation is the one and only correct one. Catholics believe this; Baptists believe this; Jews believe this; Muslims believe this. Do you see a pattern?
Furthermore; referring to Evolution as "The Theory of Evolution" is like referring to Physics as "The Theory of Physics" It is meant to be derogatory and confuse the issue. What it is, in fact, is a sign of total ignorance of the subject.
In 1960's Chemistry/Physics textbooks, atoms and molecules were 'theoretical entities' as was DNA. Today Physical Chemistry has verified the 'Theory of Atomic structure" as much as the same tools have verified the 'The Theory of Evolution". Evolution is a FACT as much and as verified as Physics. Evolution and DNA easily can trace the spread of various bloodlines in the Human species as well as confirm the DNA connection - the similarities of all Life, from Humans to apes to plants and algae.
The argument that Science has been wrong in the past and therefore may be proved untrue today or in the future loses credence because our Modern Science has verified more in the last 50 years than the whole previous existence of the Human Race. No other age of Man has had the tool of light - lazers - to measure the Universe; both macro and microscopic: from the distant galaxies and quazars to subatomic quarks and DNA: never has the Human Race been able to explain the 'Creation process' with such accuracy. And in examining the great vastness of space down to the minutest of space, Man has not found any evidence of The Biblical Entity - a God! God has run out of room to hide! God has been declared dead at various times in the past but never has the evidence of this fact been more obviously proven than now.
Lazers - photon Science - has allowed for the invention of computers that could only be dreamt of not too long ago. Our ability to manipulate individual atoms has led to what will be the greatest age of Science: the Age of nano-technology.
One can only hope that the superstitious insanity that is Religion, that allows irrational Religious factions and fanatics to use the technology that Science - intelligence - produces, to destroy, will become a relic and a distant memory in the Evolution that is 'The' true Human Story.
